I bought this game to play with my grandkids when they came to visit. It was a big hit. Even our teen who is way too cool for board games asked to join in when she saw us laughing and having so much fun.
Triviathon is a fast-paced trivia game that doesn't take hours to play, which I appreciate. Also, you don't have to know the answers to play or win (you choose answers A, B, C, or D) so it's good for all ages to play together and no one ends up feeling "dumb", especially grandma. It's also educational, but please don't tell the kids.
There is a unique twist to the game. Each character has a task that only they can perform during the game. For example, players will be singing, dancing, arm-wrestling, making up cheers, doing push-ups, just to name a few. This gets everyone up and moving and gives each player a chance to shine.
We really had a blast and I was surprised when my grandkids came to visit again and the first thing they asked when they came in the door was, "Grandma, can we play Triviathon again?" I would definitely recommend this game for visits to grandma's house, a family game night, or even as a party game to break the ice. I had as much fun playing as the kids did.

My family absolutely loves board games. We have an entire closet full of them. When we saw Triviathon we thought it would be fun, though we do not usually like trivia games. This game was so perfect for us to play with our friends and even my kids. People who like trivia enjoyed the game because at its core it is trivia. However, others of us who despise trivia games also enjoyed the game because every card only has 4 answers each allowing you to move either 0, 1, 2, or 3 spaces so even if you do not know the answer you have a 75% chance of getting to move.
The questions are fun and interesting but the best part of the game are the roles you play. In my game I was the "Cheater" so I was supposed to try and move my piece without the other players noticing. We laughed our heads off when I got caught. Every person has a different role and they all add lots of humor to the game. Another funny role is the "Troublemaker." When he reads the question cards he gets to replace one word with a sound effect of his choice. VERY FUNNY! The roles do not ruin the true game play either though because each person can only use their trick once per game. so, knowing when to use your special move can even be a strategic part of the game.
I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone. Perfect party game.
